Hi, I'm Alex.

I started Penchant Coffee Co. after nearly a decade working professionally in the coffee industry. Over the years, I have worn many hats - working behind the bar, managing cafes, training large teams, and leading wholesale operations. In that role, I managed an extensive green coffee portfolio, supported wholesale clients, and acted as a liaison between sourcing and sales. That experience sparked a deep passion for understanding every facet of what makes not only great coffee, but a thriving, people-centered culture. Though I now work in technology and finance, coffee has remained a constant passion. 

Penchant is a small-batch microroastery based in Bridgeport, TX, built on a simple love for exceptional coffee, authentic community, and honoring the work of others. We're committed Christians, and our faith shapes how we serve, steward our resources, and care for both people and the planet. We roast intentionally and in small quantities to bring out the best in every coffee we offer. We believe great coffee begins long before it reaches our hands, which is why we’re committed to honoring the full seed-to-cup journey and the generations of labor and care behind each coffee cherry.
